Notre Dame - 500+ steps to the top

We walked the stairs to the top of the tower to the belfry. The stairs were rutted from centuries and centuries of people walking them. It was really awesome and stunning at the top.

Christmas Market in Brugge, Belgium

,

The Christmas Market in Brugge was so beautiful, the lights, the music, everyone all bundled up...John had never seen anything like it. We had bratwust sausage sandwiches with grilled onions, and delicious Belgian waffles with cream and powdered sugar. So many wonderful handcrafted gifts were offered by vendors such as as lace, tapestries, knit caps, gloves and wooden toys and ornaments.

London Calling!

We're in London!! We took the chunnel and.....slept thru most of it but we thing it was really fast and really neat. Now we're hitting the town! More to come later....tomorrow :)

The Atomium, Brussles, Belgium

Built for the 1958 World's Fair. It's an atom magnified like 100 billon trillon times. We've both wanted to see this since we were little kids. Who knows why. BUT we really loved it.

Waterloo, Belgium

No not the ABBA song. The battlefield where Napoleon was defeated in the War of 1812. There was one other person there briefly then only us. We had to walk like 300 steps to the top then just vast fields.....pretty cool.

3 days in Brugge, Belgium. Happy Travellers; Sad Internet Guys

Brugge - beautiful little medieval town of canals and amazingly well preserved buildings. A UNesco World Heritage site! Unfortunately no Internet connectivity to speak of...they said they had it....but we loved it just the same
